Barrington Irving, a 23-year-old pilot originally from Jamaica, has just finished a 3-month, 27,000-mile solo flight around the globe. He may be both the youngest person and the first African American ever to make such a flight. (The record-keeping NAA does not officially keep track of pilots’ age, sex or ethnicity, though.)
He also founded the non-profit organization Experience Aviation, which encourages minority youth to pursue careers in aviation.

This is a great personal effort and I am an aviation enthusiast. I think there are more pilots here in Alaska than anywhere per capita. It’s to most reasonable way to get around. What about this first name of Barrington?
Interesting name, huh?
It can be traced back to several place names in England. The word apparently consists of elements meaning “troublesome person,” “tribe” and “settlement.”
