Poker Pro Named Cycalona

Cycalona Gowen (nicknamed “Clonie”) is a professional poker player originally from Oklahoma. She was born in 1971 during a powerful storm, and thus her name is a twist on cyclone.

The word cyclone, coined in the mid-19th century, was derived from the Greek word kyklon, meaning “moving in a circle” or “revolving.”
