Oh god! That poor girl! I hope young “Chyme” never goes into a scientific field. I’m guessing the parents meant it to be pronounced as “chime”, but being a biology student, I immediately thought “liquid mass of partially digested food.”

    Wow–not a very pleasant association.

The dictionary is telling me that chyme (in the digested food sense) is pronounced with a hard “ch,” so hopefully the parents of young Chyme pronounce her name with a soft “ch.”

It could also be pronounced KIM… so maybe it is not that unusual:)
