  1. Oh god! That poor girl! I hope young “Chyme” never goes into a scientific field. I’m guessing the parents meant it to be pronounced as “chime”, but being a biology student, I immediately thought “liquid mass of partially digested food.”

  2. Wow–not a very pleasant association.

    The dictionary is telling me that chyme (in the digested food sense) is pronounced with a hard “ch,” so hopefully the parents of young Chyme pronounce her name with a soft “ch.”
