The biggest jump on the boys’ list was Jayden — 31 spots (!). The number of baby boys named Jayden rose from 9,550 (0.44%) in 2006 to 15,025 (0.69%) in 2007.

The biggest jump on the girls’ list was Addison — 17 spots. The number of baby girls named Addison increased from 7,599 (0.37%) in 2006 to 11,823 (0.57%) in 2007.

(And, the 37% of you who voted “Jacob, Michael” as the new top-two for boys in my recent poll were right! Nice job, guys.)

  1. Jordan is still fairly popular for girls — it’s been in top 100 from since 1989. (Though it probably won’t make the list again in 2008.)
