I guess I figured Maori was spoken in Australia as well as in New Zealand. My bad. And, if we go by what Wikipedia says, at least some of Australia's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Aboriginal_languages" rel="nofollow">Aboriginal languages</a> do indeed include an L-sound...so could one of them be the origin of Kirrily?
