Twin vs. Twin – Travers or Fletcher?

Identical twin brothers Travers Mackel and Fletcher Mackel are reporters for the same local news station in New Orleans.

Which name do you like better, Travers or Fletcher? Why?

    Ouch. I really can’t decide. I was going to go with Fletcher because it seemed less bad to have an -er surname as a first name than an -s surname, but really? Both names sound kind of snivelly and lame to me. (I’m sure their bearers are perfectly awesome.)

    Travers is best in my eyes… Fletcher sounds too harsh for me…

    I’m not a huge fan of either name, but I think I’d have to go with Fletcher.

    I can see Travers being perpetually misspelled as Travis.

    I have a partiality to Fletcher, and have known men named Fletcher (oft shortened to Fletch). However, my partiality is because a fletcher is the person who puts the feathers on an arrow, which are called fletch themselves. ;)
