I can see Travers being perpetually misspelled as Travis.

I have a partiality to Fletcher, and have known men named Fletcher (oft shortened to Fletch). However, my partiality is because a fletcher is the person who puts the feathers on an arrow, which are called fletch themselves. ;)

I'm not a huge fan of either name, but I think I'd have to go with Fletcher.

Ouch. I really can't decide. I was going to go with Fletcher because it seemed less bad to have an -er surname as a first name than an -s surname, but really? Both names sound kind of snivelly and lame to me. (I'm sure their bearers are perfectly awesome.)
