  • Dr. Cotton Tufts (1734-1815), physician from Massachusetts.
  • Endicott Peabody (1920-1997), politician from Massachusetts.
  • Fabiana Bravo, opera singer from Argentina.
  • Fritz Zwicky (1898-1974), astronomer from Switzerland who later moved to the U.S.
  • Gillespie Montgomery (1920-2006), politician from Mississippi.
  • St. Gonzaga Gonza (died in 1886), martyr from Uganda.
  • Isadora Duncan (1877-1927), dancer from California.
  • Tranquilino Luna (1849-1892), politician from New Mexico.
  • Wynkyn de Worde (died in 1534), printer from France who later moved to England. (Worde refers to a location in France, not to words on the page, but it’s a great name anyway.)

  2. And another: Filippo “Lippo” Lippi (1406-1469), Italian painter.

  4. A new one: Halifax Shackleton. Belonged to a 16-year-old girl born in Halifax, Yorkshire, according to the 1911 England and Wales census.

  5. Just discovered Wambly Bald (1902-1990). He was a writer/columnist. Bio here.
