Baby Naming in Polyamorous Relationships
I just read a Newsweek article called The Case Against Monogamy written by Jenny Block. In one of the videos that goes along with the article, a woman involved in a 5-way relationship states that, in such a relationship, “Everything is exponentially harder. Every argument has a mediator, or another mediator…”
This made me wonder: In polyamorous households, how are children named? Does the decision belong primarily to the two people who created the child, or is it opened up to the whole group? (I’m sure it’s different in different groups, of course. I just wonder how the issue is most often dealt with.)
Are you or anyone you know of in a polyamorous relationship that includes children? If so, I’d love to hear about how the children’s names were chosen.
