Oxymoronic Baby Names – What’s Your Take?
Jumbo shrimp. Working vacation. Soft rock. Boneless ribs. Oxymorons (oxymora?) we’re all familiar with.
I occasionally see baby names that I consider oxymoronic. Vanilla Ice named his daughter Dusti Rain, for example. And I discovered an article about baby Ocean Blaze a few days ago. Other oxymoronic names (that I made up just now) include Destiny Chance, Serenity Tempest, Mercy Justice, and Summer Snow.
How do you feel about baby names that intentionally bring contradictory words together–are they deep? Are they dumb? Are you indifferent?
And, have you spotted any lately?
