Baby name for sale in Israel

More baby name news from Israel:

An Israeli family is selling the right to name their unborn baby. They placed an advertisement in the ultra-orthodox newspaper Yated Ne’eman on Tuesday. The family is looking to name the baby for “a deceased eminent individual.”

The family claims that dozens have already made offers. “It will help us make ends meet.” The family hopes to make thousands of shekels for the naming.

Rafi G. of the blog Life in Israel comments, “This is something I expect to see on eBay, not in the Yated.”
