Popular baby names in New Hampshire, 2012

The most popular baby names in New Hampshire were published recently.

According to the New Hampshire Vital Records Administration, the state’s top baby names last year were Emma and Mason.

Here are the New Hampshire’s top 10 girl names and top 10 boy names of 2012:

Girl Names

3. Olivia
4. Isabella
5. Ava
6. Charlotte
7. Emily
8. Ella
9. Abigail
10. Madison

Boy Names

1. Mason
2. Jackson
3. Jacob
4. Liam
5. Noah
6. Logan
7. Benjamin
8. Lucas
9. William
10. Owen

So, in two out of the three U.S. state lists I’ve posted so far, Mason (the 2nd most popular name in the U.S. in 2011) tops Jacob (the #1 name in the U.S. since 1999). Do you think this is a sign? Will there be a new #1 boy name in 2013?
