According to Nova Scotia’s Registry of Vital Statistics, the most popular baby names in the province in 2018 were Olivia and William.

6. Isla, 32

8. Evelyn, 29
9. Sadie and Sophie, 28 each (tie)
10. Mia and Scarlett, 27 each (tie)

Boy Names
1. William, 61 baby boys
2. Benjamin, 49
3. Hunter, 41
4. Lincoln, 40
5. Jack, 38
6. Noah and Oliver, 37 each (tie)
7. Logan and Owen, 35 each (tie)
8. Ethan and Liam, 34 each (tie)
9. Lucas, 33
10. Mason, 32

In the girls’ top 10, Isla, Sadie, Sophie, and Mia replace Ella, Claire, Hannah, and Lily.

In the boys’ top 10, Mason replaces James and Alexander.
