At first I thought Sergiovanni might be an epic mash-up of Sergio and Giovanni, but then I found out that it’s just an Italian surname — Giovanni prefixed by ser, an occupational word for a notary.

Celebrity Baby Name – Bronx Mowgli

Musicians Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed their first child, a boy, on November 20th.

They named him Bronx Mowgli.

The Bronx is a borough of NYC, while Mowgli is the name of the boy from The Jungle Book.

(According to Wikipedia, the name Mowgli was created by Kipling and its first syllable should rhyme with cow…though it is often not pronounced this way in the U.S.)

What do you think of the name?
