In mid-2003, Australian-led peacekeeping force RAMSI (acronym for The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands) deployed to Solomon Islands.
Several months later, a Solomon Islands chief called Rastas welcomed a baby boy and named him Ramsi.
(I couldn’t find anything to corroborate the existence of a “Chief Rastas,” but I did learn that there was a Solomon Islands rebel leader at that time named Jimmy “Rasta” Lusibaea. Wonder if they’re one and the same.)
P.S. Did you know that a former Solomon Islands Prime Minister was named Francis Billy Hilly?
