According to the company, its name is a blend of Zipporah and sephos, an ancient Greek term for “pretty.” I’m not so sure about that second part, though. I know of sophos, “clever,” and psephos, “pebble,” but I’ve never come across sephos before. I’d be curious to know if the word even exists…
