Tuti Yusupova, a 128-year-old women from Uzbekistan, may be the oldest person ever documented. Tuti’s birth certificate indicates she was born in July of 1880.
She was discovered during a country-wide search for anyone over the age of 100. (The search was conducted in honor of Uzbekistan’s 14th year of independence.)
I don’t know what Tuti’s name means, so, in lieu of that, I thought I’d list a few other interesting Uzbek names:
