Jason in 2025? That’s kind of shocking.
Maybe they were named after their fathers/grandfathers…?
Either that or “Jason” is a typo for Jaxon.
You have to be right, Nancy — it’s a typo for Jaxon. Good call. I compared the state data from North Carolina (2023 is most recent year I found) and Jaxon is #60 on the boys’ chart, but Jason doesn’t feature at all.
Thank you for checking the data!
(Jason ranked 191st in NC two years ago — 64 boys named Jason vs. 174 named Jaxon. Sizeable difference.)
