Peace Corps Baby Name Story – Jeep Gilbert

I think this one beats Alanis Morissette:

Peace Corps volunteer Richard Gilbert was stationed in the Philippines in the early 1960s. At one point during his stay, he attempted to drive a woman in labor to a hospital over 30 miles away. Gilbert’s Willys jeep broke down en route, so the baby boy was born in the back seat. In honor of both the vehicle and the volunteer, the baby was named Jeep Gilbert Ragay.
