Gregory Peck won an Oscar for playing Atticus Finch in the movie To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), based on the 1960 novel of the same name. In 1999, Peck’s daughter Cecilia gave birth a baby boy she named Harper in honor of the novel’s author, Harper Lee.

It’s interesting to see how many Hollywood baby names were inspired by parts the parents had.
My DH met Peck when he was filming The Boys from Brazil in Portugal. DH said Peck was a real class act.
I love the name Harper but alas I would never be able to use it now due to the association with our Prime Minister :( Boo Stephen Harper!
