Popular baby names in Wyoming, 2013

Just a few days after the SSA announced the top baby names in the nation, Wyoming released its own list.

According to data from the Wyoming Department of Health’s Vital Statistics Services Program, the state’s most popular baby names last year were Sophia and Liam.

Here are Wyoming’s top 5 girl names and top 5 boy names of 2013:

2. Wyatt

4. Hunter
5. Mason/Noah (tie)

(According to the SSA state data that was released today, Harper and Olivia are tied for third place and Liam and Wyatt are tied for first.)

In the girls’ top 5, Harper and Paisley replaced Elizabeth and Madison. SSA data shows Paisley and Harper ranked 15th and 16th in Wyoming last year.

In the boys’ top 5, Carter, Hunter and Noah replaced William and Logan. The SSA says Hunter, Carter and Noah ranked 6th, 10th and 14th last year.

Wyoming’s top baby names in 2012 were Emma and Liam.
