A very rare set of identical triplets was born recently at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Proud parents Kerry and Desmond Lyons welcomed sons Kevin Patrick, Declan Gerard, and Cormac Francis on October 10th. The triplets join two older siblings who also have Irish names: Liam, 3, and Ciara, 2.
Experts put the odds of having identical triplets somewhere between one-in-a-million and one-in-200-million. (Depends on which expert one asks, I guess.)
There were no fertility treatments involved in the pregnancy.
