A baby girl was born in mid-air late last week on Brussels Airlines flight SN352, which “had 233 passengers aboard on departure and 234 on arrival,” the airline said in a statement.

The birth occurred at night as the plane was flying over the Sahara desert (en route to Belgium from the Democratic Republic of Congo).

The baby was named Daniella after the co-pilot.
