On the night of April 29, 1991, a cyclone struck Bangladesh. One of the deadliest tropical cyclones on record, it killed nearly 140,000 people and left millions homeless.
A baby boy was born in the coastal village of Ghoramora at “the height of the devastating cyclone.”
His name? Jibon, meaning “life.”
