On September 4, 2004 — in the middle of Hurricane Frances — Marie Toussaint and Richard Saint Hubert of Stuart, Florida, welcomed a baby girl.
[Marie had] planned to call her new daughter Rebecca, because she liked the sound. But after the night that wind howled around the windows of Martin Memorial Medical Center, she changed her mind.
The baby who came that frightening night is called Frances, she said.
According to the caption of this cute photo of Marie and the baby, Frances’ middle name is Vanessa.
