In 2025, the Western European microstate of Monaco welcomed 732 babies — 328 girls and 404 boys.
Notably, only 208 of these babies were born to residents of Monaco. The other 524 were born to parents from outside the Principality. Most of the non-resident parents came from the French communes of Menton, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, and Beausoleil.
So, what were the most popular names among the (mostly French) babies born in Monaco last year? Bianca and Louis.
Here are Monaco’s top 5 girl names and top 5+ boy names of 2025:

Neither Rose nor Jules — the No. 1 names of 2024 — ranked among the top names of 2025.
One journalist made the interesting observation that “the girls’ top five reads like a roster from a London nursery.” (Emma, Charlotte, and Clara are currently top-100 girl names in England and Wales; Anna dropped out of the top 100 just recently.)
