Baby born on train, named for train conductor

A news article from 1944 tells of a pregnant woman who went into labor soon after boarding a northbound railroad train in Tampa.

The train conductor, Leo, located an doctor among the passengers to assist with delivery. He also stopped the train at a way station to call ahead for an ambulance.

A baby girl was born on the train somewhere between Ocala and Jacksonville. In honor of the helpful conductor, the baby was named Leorita.
