It’s interesting that Emma has overtaken Emily at #1. According to the SSA site, Emily has been the top name over the last decade.

Hi
I’m trying to find the origina of the name Latrasia which was a given name
to my 3 rd great grandmother from Nova Scotia in the late 1700’s. She signed
a land deed both with the names Latrasia and Tracy (Nickname).. From records, she lived in the Horton, Kings Cty area from the late 1700’s through the early
1800’s. I’ve contacted several NS Celtic organizations, but no one knows the
origin of this name. Any thoughts?
Sandy Loughman
Hi Sandy,
I’ve never seen the name before, but I will do my best to find something for you.
In the meanwhile–anyone else have any info on the name Latrasia?
