Twins born in Floyd, named Lloyd and Boyd

In December of 1961, Patsy and John C. Johnson of Floyd County, Georgia, welcomed twin boys.

What were they named? Lloyd Joel and Boyd Noel.

Here are their doubly rhyming names in the birth announcement:

I have to imagine that the boys’ names were inspired by that of the county, which was named after Gen. John Floyd, who fought with the Georgia Militia during the War of 1812 and later became a politician.
