On August 21, 2017 — hours before a total solar eclipse — a baby girl was born to Freedom and Michael Eubanks in the South Carolina city of Greenville (which was located along the path of totality).

Her parents had planned to name her Violet, but changed their minds when she arrived almost two weeks early, on the day of the eclipse.

What did they opt for instead?

Eclipse Alizabeth.

Freedom noted, “We’re probably going to call her Clipsey.”

Eclipse has one older sibling, a sister named Grayson.
