According to the Luxemburger Wort newspaper, the most popular baby names in Luxembourg in 2015 were Emma and Matteo.

I’m not sure about the boy names — the order wasn’t explicitly stated. Here’s the quote:

For boys, the most commonly given name was Matteo. It seems that names ending in -eo were all the rage as Theo and Leo also experienced considerable popularity.

Louis and Noah, the names of Grand Duke Henri’s two grandsons, continued to be popular among Luxembourg parents.

My source article also mentioned that “Portuguese, Chinese, Scandinavian and Irish-sounding names made a mark in Luxembourg with Jimao, Jia, Côme and Aidan making it into registers.”

In 2014, the top baby names in Luxembourg were Emma and Gabriel.

Baby name stories: Ruby

Typhoon Hagupit was known as Typhoon Ruby in the Philippines, where it made landfall in December of 2014. It initially struck the island of Samar on Saturday, December 6, and then hit the island of Masbate on Sunday, December 7.

At least two babies born on the nearby island of Cebu that weekend were named for the storm…

On Saturday evening, at Daanbantayan District Hospital,* Juvelyn Panghubasan and her common-law partner Eduvigio Luga welcomed their first child, a baby girl. Their named her Ruby Marie. (Luga suggested the second name to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, “because his wife was able to give birth safely despite the adverse weather.”)

On Sunday morning, at Cebu City Medical Center, Juliet Sanchez and her common-law partner Wilfredo Minorca — evacuees from Emrita, a coastal district of Cebu City — welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl. They named her Ruby Anne.

*Six babies were born at Daanbantayan District Hospital that weekend. None of the other babies had been named at the time my source article was published, but the names of the other mothers were Airen, Honeybee, Maritess, Devine, and Bengelen.

I would have guessed that Seppe was a diminutive of Joseph (akin to the German name Sepp). According to a Behind the Name contributor, though, Seppe is a West Frisian name that can be traced back to Sibe, a “Frisian short form of masculine names that have sigu or sigis for a first element” and a second element begins with the letter b (e.g., Sibald, Sibert).

Morocco World News notes that “heavy immigration from Morocco and other Muslim countries has left its traces, as Mohamed has been the most common male name in the Brussels Region recently.” Mohamed was the #1 boy name in Brussels from the late 1990s until 2011, in fact. And the same wave of immigration has given a big boost to many other Arabic names (Amir, Bilal, Hamza, Imran, Malak, Nour, Rayan, Yousra, etc.) within the last few decades.
