Five-name Friday: Boy name for Logan’s brother

You’ve stopped by the local public library to pick up an interloan book. Standing nearby is a friendly lady with two rambunctious boys checking out an impressive stack of children’s books with titles like How I Became a Pirate and Diary of a Worm.

The two of you strike up a conversation. At one point she mentions that she and her spouse are expecting baby boy #3, but they can’t think of a name for him. Here’s the gist of what they’re looking for:

We have two sons, Logan and Declan, and are now having a third son. Prefer names with Irish/Celtic history.

“Do you have any suggestions?”

You’re a name-lover, and you could potentially give her dozens of ideas on the spot. But you can see she’s got her hands full, so you don’t want to overwhelm her with suggestions. Instead, you decide to stick to five names.

Prince Edward Island’s top baby names of 2013 were announced recently.

According to provisional data from PEI’s vital statistics office, the most popular baby names in the province are Brooklyn and Liam.

I’m not sure when the finalized version of PEI’s 2013 list will be released, but I’ll be on the lookout for it. (Update, 1/8/2015: The 2014 list for PEI just came out, and it included a link to the 2013 data…which is exactly the same as the above. So it looks like PEI doesn’t release finalized lists.)
